Mathematics Days Mathematics Day at Boondocks!
Thank you for your interest in Mathematics Day, an educational adventure presented by Boondocks Fun Center, available Monday through Friday. Please call for available dates. Pricing is as follows:
$16.50 Per Person (Minimum of 10 guests)
Includes Pizza Lunch
Each day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with registration at the Fun Center entrance. The activities will end at 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served at the Back Porch Grill as part of the ticket price. All food and beverage services will remain open for additional purchases.
Students and teachers will then proceed into the park and follow the signs to the activities. Once your packet is completed, Free Play on all attractions will continue until 2:00 p.m. If students get stuck on any of the questions you can either ask their teacher, a Boondocks employee, or there will be someone walking around from station to station to assist the students as well.
Three weeks before Mathematics Day, each participating school will receive a packet of material consisting of three parts:
- PART 1: Will have simple experiments that the students can do in their classrooms before they come to Boondocks Fun Center. The objective of these experiments is to introduce the students to some of the ideas they will be investigating at Boondocks Fun Center and to familiarize them with the techniques that they will be using during their investigations.
- PART 2: Will contain problems students are to do while at Boondocks Fun Center. Some of the topics covered by the problems include: indirect measuring techniques, rate problems, trigonometry, probability, and angles.
The students will make their measurements and calculations sometimes during the attraction, before the attraction, or after the attraction. To aid students with their calculations and understanding, there will be assistants located around the park to lend their expertise.
- PART 3: Will be an answer key that will be provided to the teachers. It will have detailed explanations of the solutions of the Mathematics Day problems.
Especially For Teachers:
During the day, we ask that you enjoy the attractions as you assist your students with any questions that they have. We will have people to answer questions as well, however, more students can be helped with additional people to answer questions and give understanding.

What Will Happen When We Get There?
We recommend that you disseminate the tickets to your students on the bus on the way to the park. Please emphasize the importance of the tickets and explain the consequences of losing or forgetting them. The day’s educational sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until approximately 2:00 p.m. The students will have to solve problems associated with the attractions listed below. Teachers may enjoy the attractions, but we ask that if students need assistance those teachers render that assistance. However, there will be assistance around the park to answer any questions that they have.

- Go-Karts
- Bumper Boats
Students will be allowed to complete the problems associated with these rides in any order they desire. If long lines exist, please encourage students to visit another attraction and return to the busy area later in the day. All areas of the park will be open for your convenience (weather permitting).
Where and When Do We Eat?
Your school’s assigned lunchtime is indicated on the enclosed. Please have your entire group report to the Back Porch Grill at this time. The lunch will consist of your choice of two slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a fountain drink. Bus drivers will be responsible for purchasing their own food if they choose to eat in the park.
What About The Teachers?
Again we ask that the teachers help their students with any of the questions that they have but enjoy the use of the attractions as you do so.
How Do We Get There?
Boondocks Fun Center is located at 75 E. South Fork Dr. in Draper. If you’re coming from the north, exit I -15 at Bangerter Hwy and turn left. Turn right on 138th and left on Minuteman Dr. Turn left on South Fork Dr. Boondocks entrance is on the left hand side of the street. If you’re coming from the South, exit I-15 at Bluffdale and 146th South. Turn right and make your first left on Minuteman Drive. Turn right on South Fork Drive. and Boondocks is located on the left hand side.
